Filming began in October 2020 for the Twenty Second Series of Midsomer Murders. Returning to their main roles are Neil Dudgeon, Nick Hendrix, Fiona Dolman, and Annette Badland. It has been reported that Series 22 will consist of 6 episodes.

This series will also mark Neil Dudgeon's 50th Episode.
