Finchmere is a fictional village in the ITV drama Midsomer Murders. It first appeared as a secondary setting in Faithful unto Death then as the central setting of The Flying Club.
Finchmere boasts an airfield which played a role in the Battle of Britain. It is also home to Molly Darnley, OBE a renowned pilot whose husband had commanded the airfield during the battle of Britain[1].
It has an active market[2] and before Jamie Winter arrived in Midsomer, it was host to a 'zombie invasion' which ended when the 'zombies' got barred from the local pub[3].
