Georgina Canning is a character appearing in the episode Tainted Fruit of the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders. She is a wealthy socialite who prefers the life of private parties filled with her equally snobby friends, as part of a "horse set". After a party at the tennis club, Georgina wanted to leave, and so drove Sally's 2CV, with Sally inside. Over the limit, Georgina swerved the car, breaking a headlight. Knowing that being charged with drunk-driving would result in her arrest, and being ousted from the life she held more in regard than anything, to keep herself in the clear, she moved Sally into the driving seat. But Melissa Townsend had witnessed her, and after learning that Sally was reported to be drunk-driving and crashing her car, Melissa put two and two together and told Adam Keyne, both planning to blackmail Georgina. Georgina stole drugs from her husband Raif's vet practice and injected Melissa with Pentobarbitone. She killed Adam by partially sawing through the boards in a barn, luring Adam to the barn to retrieve some blackmail money, the boards caved as he stepped on them, and Adam fell on a plow. Then Georgina killed Raif with a syringe of Pentobarbitone, because he knew the saw was missing from his shed. After being caught during her husband's wake, she asked if they could leave out the back way, so as not to be seen.
