Olivia Dent is a character appearing in the episode Dressed to Kill of the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders.
Biography[]
Olivia is married to Dickie Dent. She is the treasurer on the village committee and a drama teacher. She is in love with Nigel Bellamy. She is working on a play with Nigel.
Olivia's life has been a series of disappointments. She wanted to be head teacher, not drama teacher. She wanted to be chair of the city council, not treasurer. She wanted someone who would love her and stay with her, not a low life lothario (Dickie).
Olivia tried to bribe the city council to do a play so Lois got revenge by voting for the drag event.
Victims[]
- Lois Springfield: Hit in the head with a stiletto, dressed in drag with a corset that was tightened so she was asphyxiated. She also had dominoes in her eyes. Motive: Lois voted against Olivia's production of Romeo and Juliet. And Lois tore up her tour list.
- Evelyn Hardy: She was wearing a dress that had eels on it lit up by electrics. She was electrocuted, Evelyn told Olivia about her father financing Olivia's play and tour. She took Olivia's idea, dream and Nigel.
- Nigel Bellamy: Attempted murder. Olivia was ready to stab Nigel when he started quoting Romeo to her. Nigel flirted with her, talked with her, took away her past hurts and unlocked her heart. She followed every second of Nigel's career. Nigel gave her hope, then took it away.
