Dr. Richard[1] Wellow is a character appearing in the episode Dead Letters of the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders.
A chain smoking womanizer, he had had affairs with numerous women in the village including Marian Slade, who allowed him to conceal his culpability when her daughter, Bella, died as a result of an abortion he performed.
For his actions, he was stabbed to death in revenge for Bella's death.
