Sebastian Cabot is a character appearing in the episode The Debt of Lies of the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders.
Sebastian is a retired DCI. He lives at Challis Court. He had a cerebral hemorrhage 10 years ago. To mark the anniversary, he wanted to do something- the Charity Walk at the County Fair. He is married to Dr. Ruth Cabot and has a son, Charlie Cabot. Charlie has autism and OCD.
Sebastian was a young sergeant 30 years ago when he and PC Damian Bennet found stolen money from the Goldman Forbes robbery job. They found the money in an outhouse, but 300,000 pounds was missing. Eventually, Barnaby figures out that Sebastian stole the money and invested in a miniature car. He says he really needed the money for his son, Charlie.
