The Point of Balance is the first episode of the twenty first series of the popular ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders. It was first streamed in the U.S. on 1 December 2019 on streaming services Acorn TV and Britbox, whilst its UK release date has yet to be announced by broadcasters', ITV.
Synopsis[]
When a former ballroom-dance champion is found dead with tulle stuffed in her mouth after the opening gala of the Paramount Dance Extravaganza, DCI Barnaby and DS Winter go toe-to-toe with rival dancers, jealous partners, and suspicious corporate sponsors. Meanwhile, Barnaby contends with a visit from his estranged father.
Plot[]
Midsomer's 'Paramount Dance Extravaganza' dance contest is being hosted by the Wilder Biorobotics Institute. After the first night of the competition, a professional dancer who was not in the competition is found dead under suspicious circumstances. DCI Barnaby and DS Winter begin their investigation, but it's not long before the brother of the victim is also found dead, being struck on the head by a remotely controlled robotic arm. The investigators focus on the wealthy Wilder family and discover the usual deceptions, secrets and betrayals before they find the killer. Meanwhile, John struggles to mend some old wounds between him and his father, Ned Barnaby.

In the Episode
Hit on the head and she started to scream. In order to be silenced, was gagged with her tulle to make her choke, but the shock triggered a heart attack, part of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy symptom of which she was suffering. The scene was then arranged to look like a robbery.
Chased in the Biorobotics Institute and refuged inside the gigantic industrial robotic arm's chamber. The arm was then remotely controlled and killed him by delivering a massive blow to his head.
