Ursula Shirewell is a a character appearing in the episode The Devil's Work the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders. Ursula is the only daughter of Henry Shirewell.
Arrested for the murders of:
- Clarissa Shirewell: In 1985, was pushed down the stairs.
- Jordana Linsbury: Gassed
- Francis Shirewell: Strangled with a clay wire, a mask placed on his face, a knife driven into his left eye.
- Caleb Blundell: Locked in a kiln and the temperature turned up.
Ursula tells police that it was her moral obligation to protect her home and her child. The only man she ever loved was taken from me, Gideon Blundell. When her father forced her to give him up, she discovered she was pregnant. She managed to keep it a secret, but the baby was born early and died. Ursula buried her under the roses: Rosa Mystica. So she couldn't let the house or the estate be sold off. She had to kill off the other heirs so she could inherit. To protect her buried child.
